The launch of the publication Governance Action on the NAO's Annual Report on Public Accounts 2021 and other NAO Reports 2022
The implementation rate for actions taken by the public administration to address the shortcomings highlighted by the National Audit Office on 35 audits carried out in various ministries during 2021, has reached 89%.
Accepting and addressing NAO's recommendations contribute to continuous improvement in the public administration. The audits carried out during the year under review acknowledged three entities as operating according to good practice and no shortcomings were identified. Five other entities had only minimal shortcomings.
To foster continuous improvement in the operations and practices of the public administration, the Governance Action Directorate focuses on problematic areas, such as public procurement, document retention, updates and amendments to obsolete, ambiguous, and ineffective procedures, regular reconciliations and certification of documentation, and segregation of duties.
